Meet the man behind the mediocre website

Hello, I’m Ben. I’m a copywriter at Innocean Australia. 

I type with two fingers, so I really think hard about each word. 

I also think really hard about ideas.

Big ideas, small ideas, dumb ideas, good ideas. 

But mostly, I try to think about ideas that have an impact. 

Whether it’s a digi banner or a TV script, I try to avoid contributing to the content landfill. I feel that the question, “Will anyone seek this out?” is a great creative filter.

What’s Ben like outside of work, you ask?

Well, my friends call me Raezor (mostly not, but it’s catching on). 

I was raised by television, so I have a quote for any situation (usually from The Simpsons). 

I love sport in all its shapes and forms. If it involves two teams moving a ball in some way, I’m in. 

I’m obsessed with niche 90s/00s pop culture. Like photos of celebrities at video game launch parties or weird movie tie-in snacks (see to the right). 

I’ve been known to enjoy nature.

I DJ (but I’m not insufferable about it). 

I’m really good at Mario Kart.
